Venezuela Sends First Rescue Team, 7.2 tons of Humanitarian Aid to Chile Print E-mail
The Venezuelan government will send on Wednesday the first rescue team of the Humanitarian Task Force to evaluate the damages caused by the 8.8 earthquake that hit Chile on February 27.

First, the rescue team will undertake the first assessments in the affected areas. Then, they will issue the first report  to make specific requests regarding the shipment of further aid in the next days.

The Minister of People's Power for the Interior and Justice Tareck El Aissami, and the National Director of Civil Protection and Disaster Management Luis Diaz Curbelo will see them off at the Simon Bolivar International Airport, located in Vargas state, Venezuela.

Likewise, Venezuela will send 7.2 tons of humanitarian aid, including 2 tons of drinkign water, 3 tons of non-perishable food, 400 blankets, 100 boxes of baby food.
